About Logic Games for Kids

Logic Games collects seven distinct puzzle types rather than one idea repeated. Odd One Out asks children to spot what does not belong, What Comes Next tests pattern completion, Spot Difference trains careful looking, and Shadow Match pairs objects to their silhouettes.

The rest push further: Sort Master groups items by a rule the child has to work out, Number Logic applies the same reasoning to numbers, and Maze Steps requires planning a route before setting off. Together they cover the main strands of reasoning that show up in school entrance tests and reasoning papers, which is why this is one of the more genuinely useful games on the site.

How to Play

  1. Pick a puzzle type from the seven available.
  2. Study the set and work out the rule.
  3. Choose your answer — the odd one, the next in sequence, the match.
  4. Move on to a harder set once you have it.

What Kids Learn

  • Pattern recognition and sequencing
  • Classifying by a rule you have to deduce
  • Careful visual comparison
  • Planning a route before moving
