Red

Red is bright like apples and fox fur.

About Colors Adventure

Colors Adventure teaches colours by attaching each one to an animal a child already knows. Red goes with the fox, blue with the dolphin, green with the frog, yellow with the chick, pink with the flamingo and purple with the butterfly. That pairing gives a young child something concrete to hold on to, which works far better than naming an abstract colour swatch.

The game then moves into colour mixing, showing how red and yellow make orange, red and blue make purple, red and white make pink, and black and white make grey. Nine colours are free to learn; premium adds brown, grey, cyan, gold and silver. Matching and colouring activities round out each set so children practise what they have just been shown.

How to Play

  1. Tap a colour to hear its name and meet its animal.
  2. Read the short fact that goes with each colour.
  3. Try the mixing activity to make orange, purple, pink and grey.
  4. Play the matching and colouring rounds to practise.

Does it teach colour mixing?
Yes. The game shows the actual combinations: red plus yellow makes orange, red plus blue makes purple, red plus white makes pink, and black plus white makes grey.
What age is it aimed at?
Roughly ages 2 to 6. Toddlers use it to name colours, while pre-schoolers get more from the mixing activity and the matching rounds.
